Councilman Graham:
I applaud you for jumping rapidly on the Google "Street View" caper, which might have hypothetically appropriated private data and resources illegally. But while you are calling up Attorney General Nichols and other DC officials, could you also ask them to investigate the "crime in the suites" (of DPR) that is the botched DPR Anti-Erosion Projects in Kalorama Park (Ward One) and Mitchell Park (Ward Two)?
I will note for the record, which can be corroborate by your staffer Wilson Reynolds, that at the ANC-1C meeting on May 5, "Acting" DPR Director Aguirre PROMISED the Commissioners and The Masses that he would reveal the budget for the Kalorama Park Anti-Erosion Project "tomorrow". I asked him, then, why was it that DPR was refusing to give me copies of the contract invoices, inspection reports, and payment notifications--all public documents-- since the budget spent was merely the sum of all those payments.
Let the record show, Councilman Graham, that it is now May 20th, 15 days later, and neither the project budget figures nor my FOIA requested DPR documents have been revealed by DPR-- or at least they haven't revealed them to the public. So what's up?
You may want to check up on matters pronto, as we'll be asking all of you more about all this at the KCA candidates' debate and lovefest tonight.
