[Mintwood-place] KCA/RCNA Co-host At-Large Council Candidates Forum March 22, 7 pm

The Kalorama Citizens Association and the Reed Cooke Neighborhood
Association will co-host a candidates forum for the DC City Council At-Large
seat Thursday, March 22nd at Good Will Baptist Church. 

The seat is currently held by Vincent Orange, who won it in a special
election in 2011 after Kwame Brown gave up the seat to run for City Council
Chairman. Democratic, Statehood Green and Republican candidates will be
selected in the April 3rd DC Primary and run in the November General
election.

The candidates are, in last-name-alphabetical order:

G. Lee Aiken (SG)

Mary Beatty (R)

Sekou Biddle (D)

E. Gail Anderson Holness (D)

Vincent Orange (D)

Peter Shapiro (D)

Ann Wilcox (SG)

This is the March meeting of the KCA and there will be a very short program
of business prior to the candidates forum. The meeting begins at 7 pm and
the forum very shortly afterward, and no later than 7:30.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the
candidates and pose questions to them in an up-close and personal setting.
