Celia:

Thank you for organizing/spearheading this effort.

My wife and I own 1859 Mintwood Place, and we would like to be part of
the program on April 6. I authorize DoH to enter our property for this
effort.

I would also like to ask that DoH do something about longstanding rodent
problem with 1861 Mintwood Place, which is a house that has been carved
up into roughly 6-7 apartments. It is immediately adjacent to our
property, and the property owners/renters store their garbage outside in
the common walkway between our adjoining edifices (the walkway is
transected by a chain-link fence). The rats live in/feed on the garbage
stored outside 1861, and it is a regular occurrence for us to hear rates
feeding and squealing at night as they graze in 1861's garbage. Putting
extermination materials on my side of the fence seems to be a ridiculous
response when the source of the problem exists immediately next door.

Thank you,

Nick Woodfield

Subject: Alley rodents

Yesterday, March 22, Gerard Brown, Program Manager of DC Department of
Health, walked through the Mintwood/Biltmore alley with a group
organized by Olivier Kamanda.

After seeing plenty evidence of rodents -- tunnels and dead rats -- Mr.
Brown offered to have the DOH come to the alley on Friday, April 6, and
begin extermination. After the initial treatment. DOH will regularly
monitor the situation. Additionally, we will be assigned a contact
person in case we see new or other problems.

If you live in a building with three or fewer units and would like DOH
to come onto your property on April 6, please reply to this email with
your name and address. (Yes, DOH will accept electronic signatures.)

If you have a fence or a pet and you would like to be part of the
program on April 6 , then you must have your fence open and your pet
must be out of the yard.

Please forward this email to anyone you know on the Mintwood/Biltmore
alley who might be interested in this program.

Thank you to Olivier for arranging Mr. Brown's visit and thanks to the
Mintwood/Biltmore neighbors who are helping to get this problem under
control.
