Hi Coalition members!

 

The public comment on the DOJ's proposed PREA standards begins today!
The notice for public comment is posted at the following link:
http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/programs/pdfs/prea_nprm.pdf  (There is also a

http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/2011/January/11-ag-098.html).  

 

The public notice is more than 200 pages, and we'll circulate a summary
as soon as we have one. The smaller discussions that we were previously
arranging in lieu of a coalition-wide meeting this month will still
occur (with the benefit of the public comment notice now available),
with further follow-up at the regular coalition call on February 9th.
