Just had an absolutely fascinating conversation with Tim Peters who called
this morning. "People talk about survival of the fittest," he said. "What
we want are the plants that are most selfless." Thirty years of breeding
plants in the wildness had him dropping bombshell after bombshell on me.
The insights were pouring in.
