[Seedgeeks] Lobataland Seed Swap 12/4: Mark your calendars!

dear friends,
  On Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 am - 1 pm, in the Student Farm Fieldhouse, 
it's the first annual bioregional seed swap for our lovely Terra Lobata, 
the home of the valley oak!  Bring native seeds as well as those for 
imported plants which have worked well for you here in the lower 
Sacramento Valley.  This is a great chance to clean out those "seldom 
seed" cobwebby seed boxes as well as hunt through your neighbor's seed 
collection for a great find.

  Bring your own seed packets to take your treasures home, and if you 
wish, some food to share at lunchtime.

DIRECTIONS:
  There's a UCD parking lot nearby.  I don't know how much it costs.  Come 
by bike or by foot.
  The Fieldhouse is located on Extension Center Drive on UC Davis land.  
>From Highway 80 (she's a mighty good road), take Hwy 113 north.  Take the 
Hutchinson Drive exit and head right on Hutchinson.  Before you get to the 
first light, hang a hairpin left on Extension Center Drive.  Pass TAPS on 
your right.  Enter the Ecological Garden through the sidewalk between the 
great big feathery trees.  The Fieldhouse (or Bulb House to you old-
schoolers) is the yellow building with the green trim, open doors and 
meowing cat.
  From Davis, take Anderson south, or Russell west, until you hit LaRue 
(the southern continuation of Anderson).  Take LaRue to Hutchinson and 
continue as above.
  From the EC Gardens tool shed, head due south to the edge of the gardens 
and follow the "olive tree path" south to the paved road beyond the 
vineyard.  Turn left and walk a couple minutes until you see a white 
cement sidewalk on your right, leading to the Fieldhouse.
