Appreciating how you share my sense of calling to contribute
what I can toward a more just world that works better for more
folks - I'm forwarding the message below to you because I think
this Sojourner's initiative might make a difference.
Forgive me if it's intrusive - but it was nice to think of you
this hot, Ithaca August morning! and how blessed I am to have
family and friends who might consider being part of such a
worthwhile endeavor.
Thanks for passing this along as you feel appropriate -
Love to you - P
Sojourners/Call to Renewal has launched a new campaign! The
Covenant Campaign calls our nation - individuals, communities,
religious leaders, and political leaders at a local, state and
national level - to make overcoming poverty a nonpartisan
priority and a bipartisan cause.
Overcoming poverty requires all sectors of society to partner in
creative ways to fight poverty and generate the moral and
political will to ensure that policies benefit the common good.
I just endorsed the Covenant, and I hope you will to. Click here

As people of faith, we have a unique role to play in prompting
the personal, congregational, and societal renewal necessary to
put poverty at the top of the national agenda. The vision of the
Covenant for a New America - making work work, ending child
poverty, and ending extreme global poverty - will only be
realized with the active support and engagement of individuals,
local churches and organizations across the country. We need you
to covenant with us!
