The standing seam or modified standing seam would be a good fit, provided
you hire a better-than-average installer, who understands the aesthetics of
the project. I'd still rather see shingles on your house, beautiful
structure that it is, but we had metal roofs installed on our barn and
spring house out of consideration for longevity, among other reasons.
