The Living Wage Business Certfication program


Dear all,
The William Henry Miller Inn is one of 17 local businesses, non-profits and
governmental bodies that have received 
<http://www.tclivingwage.org/employer/>"Living Wage Certification" in 
our
ongoing program to reward and acknowledge businesses that pay a living
wage.  So if William Henry Miller Inn can do it, why not
Holiday Inn?  If Morris Men's Wear can do it, why not Wal-Mart?  If
Alternatives can do it, why not Bank of America?  If Tompkins County can do
it, why not the Ithaca City School District?  If Blue Spruce Painting,
Sparks Electric and Custum Construction can do it, why can't all the other
contractors?  If GreenStar can do it, why not Tops?  If Autumn Leaves can
do it, why not Barnes and Noble?

Please show the businesses and others we certify that you care about the
living wage by spending your dollars with them or by sending them a note
thanking them for showing that good business practices and good values can
go together, and for valuing their employees.

Here is the full list.  We of course continue to solicit applications and
certify additional employers.  Look for our "Living Wage Employer" decal
around town, and let's see if we can work together till the time that every
business displays the decal.
