An hour ago the Common Council of the City of Syracuse passed a  
resolution sponsored by Councilor Simmons and the rest of the Council to  
require that all city building projects and renovations achieve a USGBC  
LEED rating. It  was passed unanimously. We now join an elite group of  
forward thinking and acting communities in this passage assuming the  
mayor concurs.
