Hi Elan,
I wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you and your request
for my Ithaca Festival files. I am unable to extract the files on the
computers at work. I will have to go to the IFest office to send you those
files and I have been swamped since I saw you last. Next week should be a
little calmer, and I expect that I should have some free moments to get down
there.
I also wanted to let you know that I sent John Miller on to you to discuss an
at risk youth program he is heading up for ESW that will target junior high
students with engineering aptitudes. I am sure you must have heard some
about this. He is looking to target rural youth, and I was hoping you could
speak with him about your efforts with the Northside/Southside and why you
chose to do some work in an urban setting. I think it is crucial for us to
make engineering a viable option for urban at risk youth in this community,
and expressed that to him.
Speak to you soon.
Rena
