Tom - I believe Lee Shurtleff is in charge of Tompkins County emergency
preparedness.

Dear List Members--Since disaster preparedness and recovery planning is an
important component of a sustainable community, I thought the attached
document might be of interest to some of us. It was published by the Office of
Environmental Health Services of the WV Bureau for Public Health. This guide has
been heavily distributed via the Health Departments in West Virgina. I
received it from the ENV-HEALTH-GENERAL mailing list maintained by the CDC.

I reviewed the Tompkins Ready site and a couple of other local sites and I
haven't found such a comprehensive guide, prepared for public distribution,
specific to our area. Does such a guide exist for Tompkins Co. or NY State?
Thanks. Tom

Dear List Members--I did some more poking around and realized that Cornell
has a CU-specific emergency guide. Paper copies are widely distributed on
campus and the HTML version is at
http://web.cornell.edu/Emergency/EmergGuide/index.html . Also, the Red
Cross has some topical emergency preparedness brochures. And of course
Prepared Tompkins has a lot of information available at their Web
site: http://preparedtompkins.org/ . Any more local resources I have
missed? Thanks. Tom
