I also like Dan Roth's idea about including a brief CATEGORY in the subject
line. I am getting more ST email than I can read in one day, and would like to
be able to select which to delete and which to keep. I also have to say I
had to cancel my subscription from WORK a while ago after I received a rather
funny but entirely inappropriate message from this list. If I had opened it in
the presence of coworkers and supervisors, I would have been in trouble (or
at least deeply embarrased).

While we are on the subject, here are some helpful hints for users.

* You must be a subscriber to post( We are getting about 15
spam/day that have to be discarded manually)
* You should address posts to only this listserve ( if you try to
send to many other subscribers, it is flagged as needing attention)
* Size limit is 100 KB ( anything greater requires administration
approval- again manual)

We do not want to get into a moderating mode at this time.

What I would appreciate is that any posters provide a short rationale
for inclusion of a broader based article, and a short description, so
that those of us with hundreds of daily emails can quickly decide to
view or not.

We do lead the US in Google searches on "sustainability", so keep up the
good work.

Sure we all think that our town is one of the most progressive around
and that those in Ithaca are constantly thinking about and exploring
sustainability. Using a tool created by Google - we can prove that that
is the case. <http://www.google.com/trends> Google Trends tracks the
amount of Google searches done on words and shows trends over time and
by city. Guess which city appeared at the top for the trend of '
