The Center for Health, Environment and Justice (CHEJ), PVC Consumer
Campaign, and groups around the country launched a national campaign to tell
Target to phase out PVC, the poison plastic and switch to safer
alternatives, as other retailers have done. Recently, nearly 30 Target
stores nationwide faced concerned mothers and families dressed in hazmat
suits, holding signs, handing out fliers, and in San Francisco joined by a
giant 20 foot inflatable rubber ducky, asking Target to phase out PVC.
Find out how you can help get these dangerous plastics out of Target
stores--and your own home--by watching the funny new spoof video "Sam Suds
and the Case of PVC, the Poison Plastic." Go to http://www.pvcfree.org to
watch this funny 3-minute animation and take action today! After you watch
it, be sure to forward it to your networks, friends, and family.

Is the Poison Plastic Hiding In Your Home?
Target may have the latest hip designs, but their aisles are filled with
products made of dangerous chemicals linked to cancer. Target sells
children's toys, shower curtains, and other items made out of or packaged in
PVC -- the poison plastic. PVC products are dangerous to our health and the
environment from start to finish -- in the factory, at home, and in the
trash -- releasing poisonous chemicals linked to cancer and birth defects.
The good news is safe and cost-effective alternatives exist, and other
companies such as Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Nike, and Ikea are phasing out PVC in
products and/or packaging.
