How can green design support community development  and
revitalization? What are the possibilities for
sustainable energy and  resource planning and
development at the local and regional level?  This
program is for municipal officials, design
professionals, economic  & community development
leaders, business owners, planners, property  managers,
financial institutions, and others interested in
energy  efficiency, advanced technologies and green
design for buildings,  municipalities and development
projects.

About the  Conference
Municipal buildings, housing, businesses, and
infrastructure  projects throughout the Hudson Valley
and the US are increasingly adopting  energy
efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation and
reuse,  recycling, and sustainable landscaping
technologies and practices. The  benefits include
reduced operating costs, increased energy
independence,  improved comfort and productivity of
building occupants, and enhanced  environmental
quality. These investments can also support local
economic  development and housing affordability goals.
This conference will feature a  wide array of
successful projects, emerging technologies, training
and  other technical assistance resources, financing
programs, and discussion  about challenges and next
steps.
