I also would need a complete beginner's class!

I think it's a great idea, too. But I would need a beginners class. Not kidding. I could never seem to get the hang of theading a machine. (My father, though, was quite good?at it.?)

I can hand repair easy rips (like along seams) and sew?buttons back on but that's about it.

Jeanne??:)

Hello Wendy,

I also would love to be a part of this. I have no sewing machine to donate but
will keep my eyes and ears open for this. I don't know how to sew but am very
very interested in learning how to make my own clothes, etc.

I have asked people I work with if they have any sewing machines to donate
too.

Thanks and please keep me updated on this project! :)

Hi Wendy,

Sent your message to a few of my fiber-lovin' friends. Although I don't
have a machine to donate, I'd love to hear more about your group as it
forms and takes on projects. Also, I have a non-electric contemporary
(German made) treadle sewing machine that I bought from Lehman's a few
months ago. It's attached to an oak cabinet, so it's not too portable,
but if your group ever feels like coming over and checking it out...it's
here.

Best,

Katie Q-J
