SewGreen is again accepting donations of clean, folded fabric (even scraps) that you no longer want, as well as yarn, sewing notions, and sewing machines of any vintage. We are a new organization that encourages reuse and sustainability in sewing and needlecrafts. The donations will be used in sewing classes, for reuse projects, or will be sold at low cost to other sewing enthusiasts to help support SewGreen events and outreach. We also donate materials to other programs that will reuse them.
"Sew & Tell" get-togethers will return in January, and SewGreen plans to offer a series of basic sewing classes starting in February, 2008. If you would like to be added to an e-mail list that announces these and other SewGreen events, just let me know.
To donate items, please contact Wendy Skinner, SewGreen Coordinator, ws at twcny.rr.com, 277-7611. Thank you!
