[SustainableTompkins] Tompkins County Waste Reduction Policy

I am excited to announce that last night the Waste Reduction Policy was passed unanimously by the Tompkins County Legislature. A final copy of this new policy will be forwarded to you in the near future. 
As previously indicated, this policy helps maximize opportunities for waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting and green purchasing in the County and is an important step towards a goal of minimizing waste. It not only sets an example, but also builds upon waste reduction initiatives that Tompkins County has pursued for more than twenty years.
