You are cordially invited to visit either of two open houses in early
February that will provide updates on the status and direction of the
university's Comprehensive Master Plan process, which has completed
its first phase. We are holding two sessions to accommodate the broad
interest in the process. Open to all members of the Cornell and
neighboring communities, the open houses offer participants the
opportunity to drop by at any time during either session, and
refreshments will be provided.
The open houses are:
* Wednesday, Feb 7: Willard Straight Hall,
Memorial Room, Cornell, 11 a.m-3 p.m..
* Thursday, Feb 8: Hilton Garden Inn,
Seneca/Tioga Room, 130 E. Seneca St., Downtown Ithaca, 4-8 p.m.
Each open house will provide an informal opportunity for you to learn
about and offer input on the Comprehensive Master Plan at your own
pace. The results of phase one of the master plan process - which
involved discussion, input and feedback from both the Cornell campus
and neighboring communities during the past spring, summer and fall -
will be summarized on a series of illustrated panels, and members of
the master plan consultant team will be available to answer questions
and receive feedback. In addition to these face-to-face discussions,
all participants will be encouraged to provide written feedback on
comment sheets provided at the open houses.
The Comprehensive Master Plan being developed for Cornell's Ithaca
campus will set the context for physical changes on campus over the
next 25 years, in order to realize the university's research,
teaching, residential and recreational priorities.
