[SustainableTompkins] nytimes asks what sacrifices for sake of environment

By the time this msg percolates through the list, they probably won't be
accepting comments any more.  The response rate is very high.  The comments
are probably a measure of something or other about whether the people in the
other New York will accept the life style and living standards changes y'all
on this list are working and living with NOW.

The responses are bimodal.  A fair number allow as how they'd make this or
that saccrifice.  Perhaps a slight minority of respondents are poo-pooing
the whole green enterprise as a hoax or a hypocritical fashion statement.
