Today's NYTimes video program is about Sustainability. (go to nytimes.com)
The company, Interface Corp, created by Ray Andersen in 1994, makes
carpeting. It's an excellent program about the power of business to help
transform our economies into sustainable ones on many levels, including
reducing waste to landfill, energy sources, lighting in the plant, and how
its conservation efforts have contributed hundreds of millions to its bottom
line. Anderson talks about the problems as engineering challenges. Very
hopeful and inspiring.
