Valet Bike Parking will happen for a third year on the Sunday of Ithaca 
Festival at Stewart Park! In past years, there has been much 
cameraderie, a great chance to show off your bike & admire others, a 
shared sense of personal virtue from helping support human-powered 
transport, not to mention great security for dozens to hundreds of 
festival-goers' bikes. Read on for easy ways you can help.

And don't forget to ride your bike to the Festival on Sunday, and "Turn 
At the Hybrid Bus for Valet Bike Parking"
(if the layout goes as planned).

We still could use a few volunteers to help with parking bikes during 
the festival on Sunday, and with clean up Sunday evening. Energetic, 
responsible young people are definitely welcome and needed (and so are 
the rest of us!). Please contact me if you can contribute an hour or two.

In 2005 and 2006 bike parking was a lot of fun & a good opportunity for 
people from different parts of the bicycling & transportation advocacy 
community to meet. 2005's perfect sunny weather saw over 200 bikes, 
including several very cool & interesting ones (a triple, several 
tandems and a variety of recumbents). We'll see what the weather brings 
this year.
