[SustainableTompkins] Free public screening of "The 11th Hour" at Ithaca College on Thursday, November 29 at 7pm

In collaboration with Student Activities Board, Sustainability at Ithaca 
is presenting a special free screening of “The 11^th Hour” on Thursday, 
November 29^th at 7pm in the Park Auditorium in the Roy H. Park School 
of Communications at Ithaca College. A moderated faculty discussion 
forum will immediately follow the conclusion of the film.

/“The 11th Hour”/ examines the human relationship with earth from its 
earliest glimmers of innovation, to the challenges humanity faces in the 
present, to the possibilities of the future. Produced and narrated by 
Leonardo DiCaprio, /“The 11th Hour” /describes the last moment when 
change is possible. The film explores how humanity has arrived at this 
moment; how we live, how we impact the earth's ecosystems, and what we 
can do to change our course.

The film features dialogues with experts from all over the world, 
including former Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev, renowned 
scientist Stephen Hawking, former head of the CIA R. James Woolsey, and 
sustainable design experts William McDonough and Bruce Mau in addition 
to over 50 leading scientists, thinkers and leaders who present the 
facts and discuss the most important issues that face our planet.

This special screening will be followed by a faculty discussion forum, 
including Alka Bramhandkar from the School of Business, Fredrik Kaufmann 
from the department of Philosophy and Religion, and Michael Smith from 
the department of history, who will also moderate the discussion. This 
event is free and open to the public.

The Park Auditorium is on the 2nd floor of Park Hall. There is free 
parking in "O" lot behind Park Hall, and the bus stop for the TCAT Route 
11/12 transit route stops on the 1st (ground) floor behind Park Hall.
