Hey, there. I hope you've all marked your calendar and are planning to
attend the Alternative Gift Fair some time this coming Saturday, Dec. 1,
between 10am and 4pm downstairs in the 1st Presbyterian Church in
Ithaca. Sustainable Tompkins has been very lucky the past three years to
be one of the organizations selected to be part of this terrific annual
fundraising event sponsored by CRESP - The Center for Transformative
Action. http://www.ithacaaltgiftfair.org/
This year, we're offering the following "feel good" gifts of sustainable
support for our community:
*
$5.00 SewGreen scholarship* for a young person to attend a basic sewing
class to learn beginning skills and discover how to re-fashion garments.
*$10.00 Community garden materials* to support the creation of raised
vegetable and flower gardens within urban neighborhoods.
*$20.00 Worm composting kit* or other sustainability educational
materials for a school classroom, to be used by Teachers for a
Sustainable Future.
*$25.00 Energy Efficiency Pack* containing weatherization materials and
supplies for Energy Efficiency Community Outreach (EECO) home energy
circles.
*Unrestricted gift* of any amount for general support for Sustainable
Tompkins programming and operations.
Come see us at Table #6 at the Fair on Saturday and shop until you drop!
Thanks in advance for your support, if not for Sustainable Tompkins,
then for one of the other worthy organizations.
Marian
