[SustainableTompkins] Making Benders... resources and info...

Hello all,

 Just recently read about benders: the super simple and interesting
method for making quick, large, tent-like homes.  It seems like it's
slim pickin's infowise, I read about it in my 'circle homes' book, and
it has some tidbits, but no details...

 Does anyone have experience building or researching benders in this
area?  I'd love to know how well white ash can work, if it should be
de-barked first, or if there are other local trees people would
recommend.  Also if anyone knows of good sources of large, used,
inexpensive canvas that I could work with, I'd love to hear about it.
