You probably saw but just in case, the piece did appear in the Ithaca Journal last Wednesday under +Recent News". (I only saw it today during an online search) Nice succinct blurb on ST also.
I plan to come...in fact it's a looked-forward to priority.

At 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, Sustainable Tompkins will hold their monthly gathering with a special lecture entitled “Farming's Impacts on Climate Change, Warming's Impacts on Farming, and How to Reduce Emissions,” presented by Sylvester Johnson.
The event will take place in the downstairs conference room at the Museum of the Earth, and is free to the public. It includes a potluck dinner at 6p.m. to which attendees are encouraged to bring a vegetarian dish.
Scientist Sylvester Johnson, Ph.D in Applied Physics, will lead the discussion on how climate change affects farming and will present positive action steps for reducing heat-trapping emissions.
Sustainable Tompkins is a coalition of citizens, community organizations, elected officials, educators and professionals from all fields working to develop a more sustainable community in Tompkins County. Sustainable Tompkins' October monthly gathering will look at /*“Farming's Impacts on Climate Change, Warming's Impacts on Farming, and How to Reduce Emissions”.*/ This event will be held on Thursday, October 18th, in the downstairs conference room at the Museum of the Earth, 1259 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca.
Scientist Sylvester Johnson, Ph.D. Applied Physics, will present positive action steps for reducing heat-trapping emissions, in combination with compelling graphics and description of the several accelerating repercussions of climate change and global warming.
The evening will begin with a potluck dinner at 6:00pm. Please bring something to share. We are asking for this event that you please consider bringing a vegetarian dish, preferably that does NOT include dairy products. Vegan dishes are encouraged.
The presentation by Dr. Johnson will begin at 7:00pm. This event, which is free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Museum of the Earth at the Paleontological Research Institution and the Climate Change Action Group
