[SustainableTompkins] Solar Hot water start $750, Ithaca 5 sets only

C'mon folks,

This is nothing but high-end spam, and I'm surprised to see
people responding to it.  Look at this:

    You have a chance to get this system for free or even at a
    profit!  You can start earning a 5% commission on the sales
    generated from your referral, the basis of commission is at
    $3500.00-4000.00 market value, if you sale [sic] more than 10
    sets, your commission could be increased. Also, you will have a
    chance to become an installer and charge your customer $400-500
    per installation....

There's no difference between this and a pitch to get you to sell
Tupperware or Mary Kay cosmetics; the company just figures that it
can find a ready mark among this audience -- and I guess it can.
"Offer limited 5 sets in Tompkins" -- yeah, right.  They won't
sell one set more.  Do you believe this?  Later on, these guys
talk about "our Ithaca warehouse" -- gimme a break!

If you want a good solar hot water system, you can get one right
here in Tompkins County from local suppliers, members of our
sustainability community who employ local people and aren't even
trying to recruit you into selling their products for them.  If
you want them to just order the materials for you, I'm sure
they'll be happy to do that, too.

Posting offers that belong in tiny type at the back of some
magazine is an abuse of this list.  The address from which the ad
was sent should be unsubscribed by the administrator.
