Dear Friend:
We are writing to invite you to join us at the inaugural Western New
York Apollo Alliance Summit. The Summit will be held at the New York
State United Teachers Conference Center in Rochester, NY on November
8, 2007. With your strong commitment to clean energy and good jobs,
we believe you would be a valuable participant at the conference,
“Building Bridges To An Energy Efficient Economy”.
In July 2006, the New York State Apollo Alliance became the eleventh
state chapter to join the National Apollo Alliance. Our coalition is
working to build New York’s economy and protect the environment
through energy independence and the creation of green collar jobs.
We expect an audience of approximately 75 business, labor,
environmental, community, and governmental affairs leaders joined in
the goal to create a bold clean energy future for all New Yorkers.
The Summit will offer discussions on renewable energy development,
job training partnerships, investments in green buildings, the role
of market-based solutions to environmental challenges, healthy
schools and sustainable municipalities. Conference participants will
also have the opportunity to discuss how federal and state policy
initiatives may advance these goals.
As you will see from the attached summit agenda, a broad cross
section of key upstate
community leaders will be offering various policy perspectives and
courses for action.
Please join us in this unique gathering by returning the enclosed
registration form as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Sylvester
