Well, friends, after a long break, I have produced another episode of my public access TV series "Nature Nearby," This is a half hour show called "Ithaca to King Ferry." It starts off with scenes along part of the route of Cayuga Lake's Scenic Byway, including Stewart Park and East Shore Park in Ithaca, then Ludlowville Falls, Myers Point, and Salt Point. Then the rest of the show is a tour of the Rural Life Museum in King Ferry in Cayuga County. Hans, the Town of Genoa historian, shows us the one room school house, and then explains in depth their 1810 pioneer English threshing barn moved to the site in 1991.
This show is on channel 13 on Time Warner Cable in the Ithaca, NY area only, at the following times.
Sunday, Sept. 2 at 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 9, at 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 1:00 p.m.
I know that many, if not most, people receiving this notice do not have access to this cablecast. For you, I put up a segment from the barn tour on YouTube. You can see it at:
