*NEWS & NOTES*
Greetings! Please join us this month as we share local foods, learn the
basics of permaculture design, and explore the richness of ancient
wisdom. We are offering a series of unique programming by partnering
with local farms, the Rochester Folk Art Guild, (www.rfag.org)
Eartharts, and Primitive Pursuits. Our website
(www.fingerlakespermacultire.org) will be updated this week so stay
tuned for more as we head into the beautiful Finger Lakes autumn.
This past June we hosted Darren Doherty, a permaculture teacher and
keyline designer from Australia. He is coming back through New York and
is offering a FREE pasture walk on September 14, followed by a two-day
course covering the basics of keyline, a design system for land use
planning which focuses on water harvesting and healthy soil
conditioning. Contact Royal Purdy at rapurdy at ahtuttle.com for more
information.
Some of you may be wondering when we will be offering our next
Permaculture Design Course. We will begin our Winter Weekends course in
January of 2008 and run alternate weekends through May. Dates will be
finalized within the next few weeks and posted on our website.

Where can we draw sustainable models of living from?
There’s a map, drawn from indigenous ways of living.
Mark Morey will come and inspire you to apply new ways of living in the
world

whole new ways of conducting yourself that create well-being for you and
your
community.

September 30,
10am-4pm, to a workshop with Mark Morey.

the Permaculture movement with the Nature Awareness movement. He is
