I have a new episode of Nature Nearby scheduled for exclusive cablecast on Ithaca's public access channel 13. Here's the description:
Only One Sky, Part 2: What is the City of Ithaca doing about global warming?
At the Step It Up 2007 rally about global warming held at Tutelo Park in the Town of Ithaca on November, 3, City of Ithaca Common Council Alderperson Michelle Berry explains the importance of eating locally produced food to reduce our environmental impact. Mayor Carolyn Peterson explains the steps that the City is taking to curb its emission of greenhouse gases as well as other measures the City is implementing to become better stewards of our environment. Organizer Krys Cail introduces both speakers. Will Fudeman & Friends' performance of "Only One Sky" is the theme song for this episode. Length: 22 minutes.
Here's the schedule:
Sunday, 1/13 9:00 p.m.
Thursday, 1/17 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, 1/20 9:00 p.m.
Thursday, 1/24 1:00 p.m.
Thursday, 1/31 1:00 p.m.
If you don't get cable TV in the Ithaca area, you can see Carolyn's presentation online at:
