Position Announcement
Title: Community Beautification Coordinator
Responsibilities: Develop a community beautification strategy for the
county and annual plans to include high priority-highly visible beautification
projects and the means for accomplishing these. Develop planting plans, secure
approval, seek funding, order plant materials and oversee installation. Serve
as the contact for volunteer groups interested in community beautification.
Work will be coordinated with input from the County Beautification
Committee, community officials and public works staff. Recruit volunteer groups for
planting and maintenance. Oversee a matching grants program for community
plantings and secure additional funding for projects as needed. Work as part
of the CCETC Horticulture Team to provide leadership for community and
neighborhood planting initiatives and engage volunteers in taking ownership of
projects.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Horticulture or Landscape Design and
three years experience in landscape gardening. Experience working in a
community setting leading volunteers. Demonstrated interpersonal communication
skills and leadership abilities.
Minimum Annual Salary: $32,000
Hours/Benefits: Full-time and includes full benefit package including
health and dental insurance, retirement, life insurance, and more.
