Grand Opening Benefit Sale: This Saturday at the SewGreen Studio at Tuff Soul, 516 West State Street, Ithaca. We're celebrating our new activity space with a new-to-you fabric and fiber reuse sale. Very affordable prices; a variety of good, clean fabrics; some lovely yarns; a lineup of inexpensive used sewing machines, tested and ready to go; more. Proceeds support SewGreen's community sewing classes (we're organizing the first series, to start in late February) and outreach events. The reuse sale runs 11 - 4, with a very short ribbon-cutting ceremony at the start. Time to cheer!

Sew & Tells: These are free get-togethers for anyone who enjoys reuse sewing and needlecraft of any type, or wants to start. A companionable night out, this is a time to show a project you're working on or have completed, bring questions your needlecraft colleagues may be able to answer, or just relax and listen. All ages and skill levels welcome. 6 - 8 pm, Wednesday, January 31 and 6 - 8 pm Wednesday, February 6, at the SewGreen Studio.
