Hi Rebecca,

We have one, and we love it. There are a few of things you would
notice different from a tank. The most important is the money saved.
Also if you run out of hot water with your tank, like several people
taking showers, that won't be a problem any more. We have five people
taking baths or showers everyday. But if you have fewer people than
five you should really save some money on gas. Look for one that has
electronic ignition, no standing pilot light.

One thing that is different that may take getting used to is it may
take longer for the hot water to actually arrive at the faucet. The
closer you can put the unit to your faucets the better.

If I bought one today, I would look for a unit that has a remote
water temperature control.

Ours is a Bosch AquaStar 125HG, which appears to not be made anymore.
The current Bosch 1600H seems closest with its Hydro-generated ignition.

If you want to ask me questions about ours or see it, your welcome to
come visit.

I should add that our dishwasher (Danby) and clothes washer (Asko)
heat the water themselves.
