Re Tony's warning about volatile vinyl plasticizers...you can get a load of
them in you before you even smell it if you drink from new garden hose or
not-so-old garden hose that has been stewing in the sun.  You probably
wouldn't drink much that way because it tastes icky but your kid or your dog
or anyone soaking in the wading pool [typically also vinyl] recently filled
from such a hose is taking on more than their share of this junk chemical.
