I think it is also important to say that there is more mercury being
emitted into our atmosphere over the life of a conventional bulb from
the impurities of burning coal, than the amount of mercury that is
inside a CFL bulb. So if anyone is worried about mercury, maybe
focusing on our atmospheric content would be a better approach.
