Hi Pete and Edie,
 
This day has gotten more complicated than I anticipated, as my new in-laws  
are arriving from Boston at about 6 p.m. this evening.  So I won't be out  at 
either of the two events that were scheduled.
 
Edie, you should be aware of Chuck Tompkins presence at the downtown clergy  
meeting where Pete and organizers from the Workers' Center presented issues  
surrounding employment in the local hotel industry.  Please pass this along  to 
the group on Thursday.
 
Chuck was genuinely moved and enlightened to issues new to him.  He is  
deeply involved in Community Faith Partners, and his position among Evangelicals  
and the Black Churches could be a critical link in future work.
