As a member of the Meadowsweet Dairy LLC, I was pleased to see that the 
dairy's struggles with NYS Ag & Markets are getting some national 
attention. This detailed article, "Milk Wars" by David Gumpert 
<http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080317/gumpert> from /The Nation 
/magazine might be of interest to those who want to support local 
agriculture, learn more about raw milk or the innovative business model 
the dairy is using to stay afloat in our own foodshed. Meadowsweet Dairy 
LLC is quickly becoming a test case for the state (and possibly the 
nation). The court date hasn't been set yet in Albany, but we anticipate 
having our day in court sometime late this summer or fall.
