[WPC] Money Crunch forces Serious Peace Center Transition

[Washington Peace Center]

The Washington Peace Center is currently undergoing some significant 
changes due to financial difficulties
that have us running out of money in a matter of weeks.

 


  AS OF SEPTEMBER FIRST:

 

*We will be relocating our offices to Peace House in downtown Washington 
taking advantage of a generous offer of hospitality provided by their 
community

 

*We will be transitioning from a paid office staff to a volunteer run 
organization.
Employ of our current staff, Mkawasi Mcharo and Paul Magno will end in 
August. 

 

This will be a significant adjustment, and have many aspects to it.
We will be asking your help with many individual tasks as the need 
becomes apparent.
Please consider what gifts you can offer the Peace Center on a regular 
or occasional basis and let us know

 in the future. Please make a note of it.


At present our telephone service is down, but we expect our phone # 
202-234-2000 to be back in operation shortly.

 

Other changes and information will be shared as they become available 
and current.
