To stand in solidarity with residents working to protect Benning
Library, West End Library and other community libraries
Our Message to the Library Trustees:
* Support Benning residents who want their library renovated - not
demolished
* Ask the City Council & Mayor to Rescind the Vote on the West End
Library
* Send a Message to the Mayor & Council that there should never be
emergency legislation for the disposition of public property including
our libraries

On July 25 at 9:00 am, the Defense Appropriation Committee will meet to discuss the future funding of our military.  We must deliver the message and show a strong force in support of Iraq Veterans Against the War and Veterans for Peace as they deliver the message, "Funding the War is Killing our Troops." 
Now is the time to step it up  and tell these  congressional members with the  power of the purse, "Not One More Day....Not One More Dime....Not One More Life....Not One More Lie!  End the Occupation! Bring the Troops Home Now! And Take Care of Them When They Get Here!"
To stand in solidarity with IVAW and VFP is an honor I cherish.  Please stand with us as they stand up against those who have the power to end the war.
If you cannot attend, please call as many members of this committee as you can to demand a fully funded withdraw of our troops.  Help deliver the message, "Funding the War is Killing the Troops."
