Aready, over 225 beds have been dismantled, and residents are being forced out into other overcrowded shelters, or right out onto the streets, just in time for the cold season. Meanwhile, the Bush Administration's Bailout Policy is set to bail out the rich corporations and Wall Street with billions of dollars of tax funds, neglecting the needs of the middle and lower class. Billions for Wall Street, but not a single bed for the homeless of Franklin Shelter? Please, help us resist this grave injustice. Come to the 13th and K tonight to defend the residents of the Franklin Homeless Shelter, while simultaneously combatting the corrupt and destructive Bailout policy. Also, please attend a teach-in session in Franklin Park on Sunday, September 25, at 2:00 P.M . to learn about what you can do to help save Franklin Shelter, and how to support the residents who live there. ***Join the Washington Peace Center's Peak Oil Project*** In the next several months, Mike and Eda Uca-Dorn of the Washington Peace Center (WPC) will be leading WPC facilitation, sponsorship, and participation in local education, action and community building opportunities relating to and connecting the issues of peak oil, climate change, and the impending resource wars.
