Dear ALL,
I cant help myself in replying. I am trying to do my so called real job [ 15 end of month reports] but my volunteer commitment, where my heart and mind is dwelling pulls me...and the nyc RNC confrontations also borders on that periphery

Certainly my own lack of attendance/participation was noted and prompted someone to single me out and boot me out from among others who were also not coming ; at the same time, my interest/contributory suggestions within Outreach which couldn't muster much others participation, in comparison to MASC/Finance- the true focus- was also noted. and if I had been present (as the 15 th person out of 23) the waiver motion wouldn't have gone down like it did.. but that is the past.

I had the opportunity in wearing my code pink hat/scarf to meet one of the refusniks, soldiers within the IDF who are being jailed for being Consciensous Objectors, like Drew Hill. Isaiah Menachem- he was passing through DC after receiving an award. I presented him with pink roses and by chance it was his birthday also. Would we care to know and apply what he replied to an audience member, a non-Arab so heated in her long litany of historical, murderous accusations towards him: "I am sorry, but here we are, what can we do now to move on?"

  Thomas,

With all due respect, talk is cheap. You decided, for whatever reason, NOT to attend the local finance committee meetings, of which you are a member. You decided to not even inform the committee of your absences, instead selecting simply not to show, as you have at a some LSB meetings as well. You also tend to arrive at the meetings you do opt to attend late, again your choice, and miss some of the discussions.

But in so choosing, you take yourself out of meaningful interaction. You removed yourself "from the loop." Similarly, when you fail to respond to disseminated financial materials, you are also making choices. While I welcome your sudden reemergence "on the scene," I cannot help but question its timing and sincerity. If the fiscal health of WPFW (which seems well-considered to me) meant as much to you as you indicate than I would think you would have made better choices.

      Mark Roberts
