Following are notes from the Development + Outreach Committee meeting held 
on September 28 @ 6:30P at the station.  Please let me have any

The main topic discussed was a major fundraising event for Fall 2005.

Underwriters to fund operations prior to the event----can be foundations and 
individuals.  But no corporations.

2 tier attendance fee structure was explored including ie $500/person to 
meet headliners at a pre-event dinner.

Event is envisioned as one evening, dinner/reception w music, silent auction 
(100 items).

How do we tap into celebrities, musicians via programmers?

Who is going to manage the process and event during the next 12 months?
What is the budget for an event/planning manager?

**Ron knows of 1 or 2 prospects and is to contact them and get some budget 
ideas

**Tom to outline TO/structure for resources; at next meeting plan for 
meeting with resources (planner, auctioneer,.....)

**Tom to help with Hollywood contact

Zarinah is working on screening of "Ray" this October, and reports that she 
is working with Gloria Turner on tentative 11 December Recognition evening 
event
